Student Health Information
Orinda Union School District provides services to promote the wellness of every student. Services are provided by the school office secretaries who are supervised by a Registered Nurse licensed in California and certified in Public Health.
Students requiring care for injuries or sickness should go to the school office where their condition will be assessed and will be cared for accordingly. Office personnel will inform the parent for arrangements, to have the student sent home. A temperature of 100.5 degrees or more is an immediate reason to call parents.
The school should also be informed if your child has special health needs. It is helpful to know what medical treatment has taken place so that adjustments must be made in the child’s health program to meet his/her special needs at school. The Nurse is available to assist and give counsel to parents and teachers in regard to any health concerns.
