INCOMING TK/K INFO FOR 24'-25' SCHOOL YEAR
SH BASC is part of the OUSD Before and After School Care (BASC) programs. We are located on campus near the main playground. We provide quality, adult supervision and student activities on a contracted or drop-in basis for currently enrolled Sleepy Hollow students.
PROGRAM
BASC’s dedicated and trained staff provide a safe and familiar place for students to develop their social emotional skills, build friendships, gain new experiences and have fun. We provide snacks and various activities including: arts and crafts, STEM, games, sensory experiences and outdoor activities.
Our program also provides:
- A balance of structure and choice
- Diversity
- An environment that fosters community
- Lessons in responsibility and respect
- Staff and self-led activities
- Group collaboration and cooperation
DROP-IN POLICY
Please remember that all students who stay on campus before and after school hours must be checked into BASC.
If your child(ren) is not scheduled to attend BASC on a particular day and you would like them to attend, please email us at shbasc@orinda.k12.ca.us to inquire if space is available.
Drop-in requests can be emailed up to a week in advance and preferably at least 24 hours in advance. We understand that last minute things come up, please call (925-258-6461) and email in these cases.
Drop-in's are not guaranteed. Availability is based on staffing and ratio requirements.
If you know your child will need care on a regular/semi-regular basis, a completed Schedule of Attendance (1st-5th) or Contract (TK/K) is the best way to ensure you will have care for your child(ren) when you need it.
